Mara Weitzman

Technology

Mara Weitzman has been a classroom teacher for over 20 years, including Montessori Lower Elementary and several STEM specialist roles. She enjoys developing interdisciplinary curricula and integrating technology to create real-life, hands-on learning experiences. She holds an AMS Montessori I (6-9) Certification, a B.A. in Biology from Swarthmore College, and an M.S. in Math and Science Education from Wheelock College and attended the AMI Adolescent Orientation. She is currently pursuing an Ed.D. degree in Montessori Studies at UWRF-River Falls, studying the use of technology in Montessori schools, especially digital fabrication for adolescent community service projects. She divides her time between Boston and Vermont, and when not tinkering with her 3D printer, she enjoys boating, bird watching, and reading.
